Fire protection

A fire within a Data Centre can often signal the death of a company; therefore protection is of paramount importance.

Early warning smoke sampling systems (HSSD) monitor the computer environment and offer the earliest possible warning of an impending problem.

Conventional smoke detection and alarm systems provide co-incidence activation for control of the air conditioning, equipment shut-down and the release of extinguishant in accordance with BS5839 part 1 and BS6266.

Gaseous fire extinguishing systems are installed, such as IG 55, FM200, FE 13, FE 25 or Novec 1230 in accordance with ISO 14520 standards. Alternatively, a fine water misting system can be used, due to its ability to tackle large fires quickly and efficiently.
